Project Description

Our family is full of many amazing traditions and some of them revolve around food.  My Momma’s homemade hot chocolate is one of them!  There is not a Thanksgiving or Christmas that goes by without hot chocolate.  We play games, laugh together, sit around the fire pit, and enjoy the cold brisk air while sipping our hot chocolate.  Andes mints are a family fav when it comes to toppings.

This hot chocolate is so creamy and delicious especially when you make it with milk.  We often do a hot chocolate bar where we through a cute display out with lots of topping options such as caramel drizzle, andes mints, candy canes, white chocolate, cocoa dusting powder, cinnamon and any other toppings we come up with!  It is a great way to celebrate during the holidays or any dinner party.  It’s hard to stop at just one cup!

Ingredients

Scale

120 quart box of dry milk

1 1/2 cups cocoa powder

1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar

1 1/2 pounds powdered sugar

1 1/2 pounds powdered carnation creamer (original flavor)

3 pounds of Nesquick chocolate powder

Instructions

Combine all ingredients together in a large tub and stir until wet mixed!

When making the Hot Chocolate you can mix it with water or milk.  My family is a 50/50 split to what they like.  It is really down to personal preference.   Add 1/3 cup of the mix to your hot water/milk.  If you like it a little sweeter you may want to add a bit more. Top with whipped cream and garnish with candies, mints or sprinkles!
